After more than 24 hours of “debate” (it wasn’t a debate) and the so-called vote-a-rama (including bullshit backroom deals, we’re looking at you Murkowski), the Opposite World fittingly-named “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (though according to Schumer, he got the name changed to something else) passed the Senate today with the tightest possible margin. It was a 50-50 vote with VP JD Vance breaking the tie.
All Democrats voted NO. Three Republicans –Thom Tillis, Rand Paul and Susan Collins stepped up. But it was Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski who betrayed the nation and caved in to the pressure and more likely, the threats lobbed at her. She’s spoken of them in the past. Now she’s publicly hoping the House will save the nation. She didn’t when she could have. Her vote would have done it. Unconscionable.
This comes just days after the Extreme Supreme Court gave President D’ump his wet dream of a term-ender.

I invited Chris to join us to talk about the big, seriously bad Extreme Supreme Court finale. And now there’s this extra shitty news that broke this morning thanks to the shit show in the Senate. Never a dull moment!
